I have a Manual Bettencourt de Amarant too! He was born in Biera, Sao Jorge. His sister, Josephine was my great-grandmother. Did your Manual come to the USA? If so, where did he settle? I know my Manual came to Contra Costa Co., CA, but I haven't been able to find out much about him. He had several brothers and sisters, most of whom I've been able to find out about.
