was talking with my uncle in Bristol, RI and my Godmother. Seems like there were BETTENCOURTS who visited my grandmom's family from Taunton. Name was Vital deSOUZA BETTENCOURT. MY Grndma was Mary BETTENCOURT, but changed it to Sousa when she married. She was bn 1895. Vital was 22yrs. old and his wife was 23 yrs old in Aug. of that year. Both from Azores, he from Sao Jose and she was from Graciosas. Her name was Estephania (nickname Fannie)AMALIA
