I have read your post several times this morning with hope I could contribute something. There must be some kind of connection between our families, Boudin and Bethournay (not exactly Smith and Johnson :>). I have to leave now but will look through my paper files, I did check my computer files and found nothing. My Celeste Betournay was changed by census takers to Sallie Turner. A kind lady found this for me while checking the records at St. Peter's French Catholic in Plattsburgh, Clinton County, New York. I promise to write again this evening if I do find something. A lady by the first name Louise has posted about Rose Betournay and she does mention Ottawa Ohio. Hope I find something in my files, would be fun to make a connection.
