I saw your query on GenForum yesterday and realised I probably have information about your Janet BETHUNE.
For several years now I've been collecting up all Fife references to the name BETHUNE/BEATON ... and the many variants ... in the hope that I can get my husband's family back beyond the mid-1700s where I'm currently stuck!
I've been sorting people into their respective families, but find the hard part is matching the right baptismal entry with the right marriage! If I have the names of any children, however, it's usually easy to slot people into the right family of origin.
I'm contacting you now for two reasons:
1 to see if you have any other info on this couple
2 to see if I have info that could help you
