After reading all of the wonderful posts about the Bethunes I decided to give it a try. My maternal grandmother Mary Esther Bethune-Huff originally from Alabama recently passed. She was the only child of Mary Esther Martin-Bethune and Willie James Bethune. I understand her mother was a Martin and from a large family before marriage to a Bethune. There is little or no known information on willie James Bethune, both of her parents were deceased when she was a small girl. Anyone with any info please send it. I am very curious as of the origins of my family before my grandmother. Thanks.
