I'm trying to connect the ancient Beauton line with the present. I've been told to look at the misspelling of 'Beaton', and the Gaelic Bethune. Can anyone shed some light on this? I'm new to genealogy, and trying to read the charts is like reading Greek to me.

Thank you, and please contact me.
