I don't really have a whole lot of information. I know that we are part Cherokee, but, I don't know how much, also, we are Autrys. My great grandmother's maiden name was Autry. There is a book published. I don't know a lot. But, I would love to know more. What kind of copies are you talking about? As far as the books that were published, the amount was limited and my sister and I did not get one. I would be glad to find out more if you have any specific questions. My grandfather is one of the few brothers that is still alive. He is now 83 years old. His family moved to Illinois from Missourri. There was an Autry (my grandfather's uncle) who was kidnapped by gypsies at a young age (5 or 6). he was taken to Illinois and at some point he returned to his family in Missourri and encouraged them to move to Illinois. My great grandmother was an Autry and was from Georgia originally. I don't know where her family was from before then. I am currently located in MA but, I can ask my aunt to check on some things for you if you'd like.
As I mentioned in my previous posting, my sister's middle name is Larkin as is my father's. Also, my grandfather's name is James Bethell. He is approximately 1/4 or 1/8 cherokee, I believe.
Just out of curiosity, where are you located? I find it curious that my family is from TN as my husband and I are in love with the state. But, for business reasons, we live in MA
