Hello! I believe that my great-great-grandfather, John Brogdon, is the one buried in the cemetery at the Dothan Methodist Church in Dillon County, SC, because of his birth year and proximity to where he lived with his family. He in on Marion County census records from 1820 through 1880 and on the 1870 census lived near many Bethea families. Patrick Bethea, Jno F. Bethea, FrK Bethea, David Bethea, Richard Bethea, J(?)olly Bethea, P. A. Bethea, Mary A. Bethea, D. W. Bethea, and Candis Bethea were all on the first 3 pages of the Marion County, Harleeville, Reedy Creek Census along with John Brogdon (and other families). I'm wondering if any Betheas out there have run across the Brogdon/Brogden name in their family research. I would appreciate any information anyone might have on this John Brogdon family. I think I've exhausted the Internet and would love to go to Columbia to research John Brogdon but don't know when I can.
