I don't know how much this will help, and I didn't recognize any names on your list. However, I was married to Edward Bradford whose mother was Elizabeth Bradford (maiden name was Bethea). I didn't know much about my ex-husband's mother's side of the family, but I did meet his mother's mother, I think her name was Ann or Annie Bethea. That was during 1978/79, in Brooklyn New York. She appeared to be about age 60 or 65 at that time. She was light-skinned and had two very long pony tails which rested on and hung below her breast. I was told that she was part indian. My ex-husband was born in Marion, SC. I can recall stories of when the family lived in SC on someone's farm and they were share-croppers. I think he (my ex) said they moved to New York around the 1960's from SC.
I hope this helps. There probably aren't many African American Bethea's around.
