A Collier family reunion is scheduled for Saturday, May 24, 2003 at Highlands Hammock State Park near Sebring, Florida,
off US hwy 27 starting at 10:00 am. All descendents of John Collier Sr. are invited.
The reunion will take place in the park’s pavilion, which is an air conditioned/heated building with tables, chairs, restrooms and a full service kitchen. Paper goods will be furnished. There are also picnic tables and a large grill outside the facility for our use. Everyone is should bring enough food, dessert, and/or drinks for their family and
extra to share.
In addition, we are encouraging everyone to bring old family photos, memorabilia and other items of interest to help in our research of our ancestors to update the Collier family tree
For those who enjoy camping (tent, RV, or travel trailer) there is ample space in the park but advance reservations are required (800) 326-3521. Highlands Hammock phone # is 863-386-6094. For the light-hearted, there are wonderful hotels/motels in the surrounding towns of Sebring, Lake Placid, and Avon Park.
