Hi I'm looking for any information on my ggrandmother ZILLIE BETHEA. b:1858. She Married Hamilton Lane b: 1855 from Marion County, Moody Township SC. They had 11 children - named LILLIE, BLANCH, LILA, MINNIE, DOICA, LETTIE, FRANK HAMILTON, JACK, MAUDE, CORA ,& LOLA LANE-- all of her children stayed in SC -- LOLA LANE my grandmother was the second wife of Author ROBERTS (they lived in Reaves Township, Marion,SC ) together they had 14 children. ZILLIE lived in Moody Township from her marriage until her death - I was told that ZILLIE BETHEA was only 6 years old when she was freed from slavery - yes she was a slave and so was her husband Hamilton LANE - Hamilton's LANE family is found in Moody Township Marion SC. perhaps she is from the same township - I don't know the plantation they were on. I understand that the Lane Family & the Bethea Family intermarried -- Perhaps any one with slave records, deeds, and or wills can help me locate Ziillie, her parents & her siblings. I'm sure she is listed on some form. Thanks in advance
