Liza is my Ggrand. My grandmoter was Hanna Brown Bethea. Liza was from Georgia and had an older sister there and a younger brother,Ben in Tx. Liza was married to William Bethea. He was born in 1835. The story goes his father was a French Army Officer under LaFayette during the war of 1812 and settled in Virginia.He was supposedly a professor of classical languages at William and Mary University.
