My database indicates that David Asbury SMITH and Alice BETHEA had four children:

John Maxcy died January 15, 1911, Lake View, Marion District, SC.(Family lore has it that John Maxcy died as a result of falling from a horse during a blizzard after making a house call to treat a patient).

2. Elisha Phillip SMITH, who was born August 22, 1868, in Marion District, SC. Married Emily MAPES in 1905 in Montgomery, AL.
Elisha died November 17, 1907, Birmingham, AL. Namesake resides in Lake View, SC today.

3. Julius Clifford SMITH, who was born July 20, 1873, in Marion District, SC. No information regarding marriage. Julius died October 12, 1907, Birmingham, AL.

3. Augustus William SMITH, who was born September 27, 1878, Marion District, SC.
Augustus married Louise WOODSON September 26, 1919, in Washington, DC. No information regarding death. "Little Gus" resides in Lake View today.

I have no information regarding David Asbury SMITH, Jr. Can you furnish me with particulars? Also do you know where I can obtain a copy of "The Ancestral Key to the Pee Dee"?
