I do know of know of two Bethea/Adams connections. The First involves Jesse Bethea,b-Jun 10 ,1800, d-sep 16, 1884 in S.C. near McColl. Father Jesse Bethea, Mother Elizabeth Breeden. This Jesse married three Adams sisters. The first was Esther Adams b-Jul 30,1801, d-Nov 30,1833,m-abt 1820-5 children, second was, Isabella Adams b-Jan 4,1815, d-Apr 3,1873,m-abt 1835-5 children, third was Mary Adams (Moore) B-Apr 22,1810, d-Jan 10,1904, m-abt 1874 no children. All three were daughters of John and Celia (Cook) Adams of Marlborough District, South Carolina. Jesse also owned McNairs Mill, which in 1818 was called Adams Mill. Jesse is a very common name in the Bethea line and this Jesse also had a bother named Jesse. The other connection is to my wife, she is a Adams. Hope this helps or points you in the right direction. I'll check for Bethea women who might have married into the Adams line.
