Ron,
I am a member of the African American Bethea family from North Carolina. Can you identify the Bethea slaveowners in North Carolina? I'm interested in tracking my family's beginnings. Also, I'm curious about the various pronounciations of 'Bethea.' My family is known as BEH-THAY' but I've heard other Betheas refer to themselves BEH-THEE'-UH.
