I am just beginning my search (and not having much luck). Your e-mail interested me as we share a few surnames. Perhaps you can help.
My grandparents on my father's side are Guillermo Betancourt (born 2/1/1904) and Adelaida Magovert (birthdate 1/19/1907). Both were presumably born and raised in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. My grandfather's father was also Guillermo Betancourt of Hatillo Puerto Rico, and mother was Natalia Soberat of Ciales Puerto Rico. My grandmother's father Telesforo Magovert of Manati, Puerto Rico and her mother was Justina Betancourt of Arecibo, Puerto Rico.
My grandparents had 10 children and apparently immigrated to San Jose, California in the 1930's.
Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated.
