Dear Pat, Thanks for replying. So far I have found that John Beston married an Emily Wenban in 1871 at Parramatta NSW Australia which was a suburb of Sydney in those days. It is now a city on its own. A lot of immigrants from UK to Australia were settled here and it was also a Convict settlement. He may have been a convict. Also I think they may have been farmers as they then moved to Camden NSW which was a major farming district where their son Arthur was born in 1872. I am endeavering to access their marriage certificate and from their hope to trace their birthplace. I will keep in touch. Christine Notify Administrator about this message?
