Hey,
Ive been doing a college geography project, and ive been looking through my family history. My great Grandma was a Best, and i was looking through some old family trees and books, and i noticed that some Best family members (Alexander, Valentine, and John)left Armagh, Ireland and settled in Danville, Pennsylvania around 1820. I dont have an exact date on their arrival but i know their brother James Best arrived in Canada in 1819. I know its about 50 miles or between Newhampton, PA and Danville according to google... I know its very vague information to your plea, but thats all that was known about the side that travelled to the USA.
If this at all helped please let me know cause i would be interested in researching more with the Best's that weren't in Canada.
Take Care,
Jeff Green
