Dear Heather,
Merry Christmas! Sorry I have taken so long to respond to your Mary
Bessey message. I was off on a three month jaunt and didn't have the
ability to look at the Forum.
Looking at the records in Stonington, I get the feeling that our best
bet to find the parents of Mary is to search in Westerly, RI. She was
young/pregnant(5 or 6 months) at the wedding and the marriage was
performed by a deacon, not a minister, in Westerly. The marriage,
however, was registered in Stonington.
