JACOB BESSEY (1755-1810) was the s/o Robert Bessey (1723- ?) and Jacob was a Loyalist in Butler's Rangers along with his brother Robert Bessey Jr.(1757-1843). They settled on Crown land grants at what is to-day the City of St.Catharines, Ontario. I have all the descendants of both brothers well documented in three volumes and am quite willing to share this information free. Some of this family returned to the United States in the 1800's and 1900's and these Besseys are the ones that I am trying to re-establish a family connection with. They went to MO., N.Y., CA., and other States. If you have come to a dead-end in your Bessey research you can e-mail me and tell me what you know about your Bessey line and I will try to help you. My services are free by the way. Kindest Regards Robert K. Bessey,U.E. Guelph, Ontario CANADA
