Thanks so much for your response. I am the one who originally posted the message looking for the parents and siblings of my gg grandmother Celia/Cecilia Bissett/Bessette b. 1 April 1866 in Bourbonnais, Illinois. Several researchers kindly responded on this Bessette Family Board as well as the Boudreau and Kankakee genforum boards. Information pointed to Hubert Bessette m. Henriette Boudreau as being her parents from the following:

8 April 1866 Baptism of Mathilde Alea Bessette by Father Beaudoin
1 April 1866 born to Hubert Bessette and Henriette Boudreau
Godparents: Alfred Bastien and Asilde Ducharme

However, both couples were married at about the same time. Did Hubert m. Henriette Ponton immigrate to Illinois and do you have a daughter Celia/Cecilia for them?

My Celia/Cecilia m. Joseph Julien "Julius" Martell 22 Oct. 1882 in Kankakee County, Illinois. They moved to Rooks County, Kansas about 1886.
