I have learned today from speaking with a relative that my great-grandmother, Mary Rebecca (Mills) Tubbs lived with Bessent cousins after her mother, Temperence Ann (Bessent) Mills, died and until the time she married my great-grandfather, George Washington A. Tubbs. The person I spoke with said she was a cousin (probably first cousin) of Cecil.
Have you found Cecil's father's name? Do you know of census records, perhaps the 1890 records, where a Mary or Rebecca or Becky was enumerated in a Bessent household?
