Joyce: I don't know about DAR, the the SAR requires proof of everything to establish the relationship. I know the first time I sent my application in they returned it to me and I had forgot to send proof that I was the son of my parents. I had concentrated so hard on the old records that I just overlooked a simple thing like that.
At the time I joined one of our relatives Carl F. Bessent was the President General of the SAR. He has since died, but has a son in Baltimore, MD that is a doctor.
Any help I might be able to give, I would be glad to.
