Vol. 8. Brashear Families West of the Mississippi
This volume picks up strands of the Brashear family that moved west of the
Mississippi River. In the 1810s and 20s in Louisiana; the 1820s and 30s in MO; the 1830s
and 40s in AR; the 1840s and 50s in TX, land in the west was opened for settlement, and
Brashear families rushed to grab it. Among them:
▸ Dr. Belt Brashear’s descendants in Louisiana;
▸ Otho Brashear and Ruth Brown’s descendants, Judge Thomas Brown Brashear in
LA, and John Warren Brashear in CA;
