Hi Al,
I have a Tabitha Beshares (also various other spellings) born ca 1800 dau of William Beshares. Tabitha married Elijah PETTIT. One of their children, Jane, married Joseph CLAYTON. This family went from Spartanburg, SC into various counties in North GA incl Dawson, then into AL. With so many names in common,this family and yours must be connected. Do you know how?
