Here is what I have about Molly Beshears: Molly married Richard Lillard, March 20, Oregon County, (probably Alton) Missouri. Molly was a piano teacher. Molly and Richard Lillards children were: Roy Lillard, b. 1900 Pansy Lillard, b. 1902 Paul Lillard, b. 1903 or 4 Edith Lillard, b. 1904 or 5 Molly's father was Squire Henderson "Henry" Beshears. Henry's name was originally "Brashears" but was changed after the Civil War. Molly was probably named after Henry's older sister, Margaret "Molly" Melinda Brashears, who saved his life and the life of his younger brother during the Civil War by smuggling them north to say with relatives until the was was over. Henry's parents were Absalom Brashears, b. circa 1811, near Mammoth Cave, Kentucky, married to Martha "Polly" Ann (Phillips) Brashears, born 1821 in Tennessee, daughter of William Phillips and "Patsy" (Gaddis) Phillips. It's been so long since you posted your message, I hope you haven't given up. I am the g-granddaughter of Henry Besehars. He is buried in the McLeheney Cemetery in Cleburne County, Arkansas, near New Higden on Greer's Ferry Lake, next to his second wife, Laura. (Laura was my g-grandmother.) Mollie's mother was from his first wife, Ellen J. Tyree/Terry. Molly was their oldest child of ten. So how are we connected? Notify Administrator about this message?
