Hi, Michell.Yes, I am still looking for information on the Besaw/Bisson/Beausiau/beso/etc,etc.But I'm afraid I
haven't had any luck with information before Francis Besaw.
Another researcher thought the original spelling was the
Beausiau one, however, I have found some marriage records for Franklin's (that's the name he used once he made it to
Wisconsin} children and they all used the Bisson spelling.
That is the spelling I've been working with lately and there are thousands of them, most of them from Acadia and
in the movement to Louisiana. But I haven't connected with anyone as yet.
There are alot of Besaws and Lavaks in the 1860 and 1870 New York censuses, but how do you prove a relationship with them.
I will be glad to share with you what I have on Franklin's family, if you are interested, but I'm afraid I can't help
you with any other info.Let me hear from you and happy
searching,Norma McAuly
