Fitchburg Sentinel December 26, 1936 page 4 Death of Benjamin Berube Benjamin Berube, one of the first Frenchspeaking settlers in this city, died in his home, 49 Madison Sreet, Thursday night after a long illness. He was a resident here more than 45 years. He was born in Trois Pistoles, PQ, 83 years ago. He is survived by his widow, Salame (Ducharme) Berube, two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Cote of Chicoutimi, Canada and Mrs. Amedee Perreault of Westerly, RI, three sons, Napoleon and Francois of Haverhill and Joseph of Nashua, NH and 12 grandchildren.
