Seeking info on Sophia Bertrand born between 1837 and 1840 in upstate NY. Married Benjamin Thibault (sometimes spelled Tebo) @1855. Sophia had eight children: Amelia 1859, Ellen (or Helen) 1857, Jospehine 1865, Frank 1861, Matilda 1868, Sophie 1875, Philomena, 1877, and Loretta 1879.
Sophia died Nov.7, 1902 in Clayton, NY. Her father's name was John Bertrand.
surnames of Sophia's sibling-in-laws were: Hesler, Foley, Carpenter, LaLonde, Stier, and Brabant. Anything sound familiar to anyone?
