Hello, Kent,
we are distant relatives. I also am a descendant of Jean and Marie Bertrand from Montreal. My great-great grandfather Pierre Bertrand, his wife Seraphine Courtmanche and daughter Seraphine settled in Chicago around 1850. My grandparents later moved to Libertyville IL. My only aunt started our family tree research back in the early 1970s and just turned 85. Most of my siblings and cousins are in the greater Chicago area although I now live in MN.
