Here's some of what I have for information and would be happy to send more directly to you.

1920 Federal Census District 93, Metropolis, Massac, Ill.
Bertrand,
Roscoe, Head, M, W, 29, born Illinois
Julian, Wife, F, W, 23, born Illinois
Gale, son, M, W, 3yr 1mo, born Illinois
Lloyd G. son, M, W, 1yr 3 mo, born Illinois

I have that the person listed as Lloyd Glen Bertrand died April 2001 in Sheridan, Sheridan, Wyoming. He was married to Pauline and I have one son listed for them which should be you. The name in the 1920 census may have been entered incorrectly by the enumerator as in the 1930 census he is listed as Glen.

I have been trying to fill in information on the descendants of Jean Baptiste Bertrand (who is my ancestor through his oldest son Jean/John) who came to the US to settle in Ohio in 1790. There were 500 French people who came and there is information on their struggles in county histories in Ohio. The US government gave them land after they were scammed in France by two US developers.

You can contact me at ghanlan@charter.net and I will send more information.
