Sorry Nancy. Sometimes, children born in the U.S. were brought back to Quebec for baptism. There is a chance that I'll come across her baptism in a Quebec parish. I might also suggest that you try to locate the Catholic Diocesan Archives for whatever Diocese Ithica may have been part of in 1816. They may be able to point you to a nearby Catholic Church or the records of a circuit riding priest who may have baptized your ancestor. Good luck.
