Dan,

From everything I have found so far Our Bertrands supposedly left Canada for Vermont around 1841 or so. They must have been close enough to go back for the birth of their daughter Julia on July 30,1853.

Louis & Eulalies oldest child Laurent Losite (Lawrence)b. July 30, 1836 St Jean Baptiste, Rouville Quebec married a Julie Anna of Unknown surname, either in Quebec area or in Vermont. Their 1st child was born abt 1860 in Vermont with 4 more children born by abt 1869. Cannot locate the family in Vermont in 1860 nor 1870 census. 1880 I find them in Reading, Hillsboro County, Michigan where they had 2 known children b. Abt 1874 & abt 1886 which leads me to believe more children were born between them.

Louis & Eulalie(Julia) were listed as beeing of the USA at Julias 1853 birth & baptism which listed Louis as a Day Laborer.

Louis & Eulalies oldest daughter Mary was married in Highgate Franklin Co in 1859 so I assumed the family was close by but was unable to locate them through any public records of the County. By 1860 Mary & George Tate were in Fond du Lac with her parents & siblings following some 3-6 years later.

I am a granddaughter of Georgianna Burton. I have done much with this line bringing it back to the 1st ancestor who came over from France.

Thank you,
Kathy
