I found this, the only entry for Mabel Ryan on Hebert's SWLR CD-101:
RYAN, Mabel I. (Geo. W. & Marg. U. HUTCHINS) b. 12 Jan. 1887 in Lake Charles; from her marriage dated: 26 March 1918 (LC Ch.: Mar. v.1, p.80).
The marriage date shows 26 Mar 1918 in church records. She would have been around 31 yrs. of age. They may have been married civilly or common law earlier since you indicate they had 12 issues. Can I get those names from you? I will be in the Lake Charles area in February 2003 for research.
