I'm having a heck of a time following this line of Bertrands who originally had the name Bertrand dit Guillaume and came from France during the Revolution of 1789. Delima was my great grandmother, she had 17 siblings (she was a twin), whose only names that I have are Virginia or Virginie, Clara, Della, Rose, Frank and Ovilla. Frank was a sea captain in the US Navy, Clara and Rose worked in a factory making parachutes in the states, Rose ended up in the state asylum in Albany and Ovilla married a Florence (?) and had 3 children, Phillip, Elson and Virginia. Delima married Mederic Lessard and had my grandmother Helene Irene Lessard and her sisters Rita (who died of TB at 16) and Evelyn, who married Telesphore Corbeil, and had two children, Alain and Denis. This family moved back and forth between upstate New York (Cohoes, Mecanicville and Troy) and Montreal. If anyone has any ties in here, could they contact me?
