My great-great grandmother is Marie Louise Bertrand of France. She married Victor Tschudy, also of France, and they settled in Baltimore, MD. He was a silversmith. She was descended from Marechal Bertrand, who was exiled with Napoleon.

I would like more info, if my research connects with anyone's.
