Looking for info re. Henry and Alice Bertrand who adopted a 3 1/2 year old boy from Andrew E. & Nelle R. Gilman on 4/19/1880 in or near DesMoines IA. They gave up the boy for adoption in Sept 1881 to John R. and Belle E. Moseley of South Desmoines in Brookfield or Brookdale. Boy was names Harry Moseley. Who are Henry and Alice, why did they adopt then release baby? Where did they come from, where did they go?? Please respond, marieannluckensmeyer@juno.com
