Kris, I looked up Joseph's death registration, and his parents are given as William Bertram and Jane McCabe, both born in Ireland, and Joseph is listed as being born in Ontario (July 11 1824-March 13 1912). He died of "senile decay" and syncope (i.e. old age and a stroke). He died in Barrie Ontario - at 59 Owen Street.
