Your husband is my father's 6th, 7th, and 8th cousin. Our Bertholf line is through my material grandmother's female line. Her material grandmother was Emma Jane Bertholf (1835-1914). Our line comes from Samuel Bertholf. He is the older brother of Henry/Hendrick Bertholf (husband of Margaret Demarest). The Bertholf family married with members of the Demarest and Ackerman Families several times back in the 1700s, so you might get more information from people reseaching these names as well as those researching the Bertholf name. I've gotten information from a group called the David Ackerman Descendants.
