I'm not sure if there is a crest for the
Bertholf family. The most famous Bertholf
that the American Bartholf/Bertholf clan
descends from is Guilliaem Bertholf (1656 to
1726). He was an early pastor and founder of
several Dutch Reformed churches. Known as
the Reformed Church today, it is the oldest
protestant church in America.

However, finding a tie between him and your
grandfather would be difficult to do without
more information. You know who your grand
father is so you could work back, starting
with census reports.
