Genealogy of the Bertholf or Bartholf Family in Holland and America - Compiled by Commodore Ellsworth Price Bertholf
Ella Marie Bertholf Moore sister of Ellsworth Bertholf donated a copy of this book to the New York Public Library in 1931. My copy of this book is a copy of that book which was given to me by my brother. I am not sure if it is still availible. It is a very interesting book and traces the Bertholf/Bartholf family back to Cristoffel Bertholf and his wife Catalyntje Bachuijs who were both born prior to 1600 in Sluis, Holland. The book continues with Guliaem Bertholf and his wife Martyntje Hendrickse Vermeulen who were early Dutch emigrants to America. Guiliaem arrived 24 Feb 1694 and was the the Dutch Reformed minister (Domine) for New Jersey and New York.
