The Jean Baptist Berthiaume that was my 3rd great grandfather was born 12 Mar. 1798 in French Canada. He died in Roxbury, Dane Co., Wi. The name was changed when they migrated to New York. He married Angelique Levaque Dit Baspomme/Angelina Apple, born 15 May 1803 in French Canada and died 15 Mar 1860 in Dane Co. WI. Their children were John Barcume, Rosette Barcume, Josette Barcume, Marguerite Barcume, Mary/Marie Barcume, Delight/Felicite Barcume, Heroine Barcume, Aurelia Barcume, Esther Barcume, Felinda/Philenda/Philomene Barcume, Agnes Barcume, Olive Barcume, and Joseph Barcume. Joseph was a drummer boy in the Civil war after his parents died at the age of 13 and there is a picture at the Bloomer, Wi. Museum.
