I Beleive the original spelling of Berthiaume and all it's variations is "Berthéome" at least that is what it is under in the "FamilySearch Pedigree Resource File (www.familysearch.org)" The spelling appears to change somewhere between when Jacques (born 27 Sept 1633, France) had is last child & his children were married & having kids.
