John Berryman of Mississippi and Tennessee

Looking for relatives of John M. Berryman, born in Tennessee about 1827. John moved to NE Mississippi (Tippah/Alcorn Counties) sometime before 1850. Served in a militia unit in the Civil war. Most of his family stayed in Mississippi. This area is in NE Mississippi and is near the borders of Tennessee and Alabama. There are several BERRRYMAN families in the area but I can not find a documented connection.
