Hi, just thought that I would write to you re:your Berryhill family. I have a whole lot of information on Martha Derrisaw and John Berryhill and their children, they had a son Alexander and at one time I thought that this was my family, then I found a letter written by my grandmother & recorded into the records at the US Archives It was written to the war dept before 1919, My grandmother died in 1919. and she was working on her family genealogy before that and she was trying to find the correct Alexander Berryhill. I have a lot of your family records on disks I got this information from the LDS family history centers computers, if you don't have the information that they have & don't have acsess to a LDS FHC and would like it please let me know. Martha, as I am sure you know, was a Creek Indian, and she and was on the Trail of Tears with a couple of her daughters & I believe she died shortly after arriving in the New Cherokee Nation Land in Oklahoma. If I can be of any information to you please write. When I found that I didn't belong this this branch of the Berryhill family I felt as if I had lost an arm and therefore I kept everything I had on them... I had always had a strong interest in Indian History and everything felt right. Your almost close cousin. Mary Liz.
