Thomas Berery md Sarah Curtis ,Son Curtis Berry
I am looking for any male decendant of Curtis Berry Sr.The same Berry family that was associated with Col. Crawford .The militery Col .that Ohio has in the history of Crawford Co.as being burned at the stake by the Indians about1 mile East of the villiage of Carey Crawford Co Ohio on Tymochtee Creek.I would like to get someone of this line to DNA against our Berry line.My cousin and I have paid to have 2 other Berry & Beery families to DNA against ours.We will pay to have the testing done it is a very simple test a swab to the cheek and sent back in the waiting is what is hard.I thought at first Curtis Berry line might be ours and sort of dismissed it .As far as I can tell the Curtis Berry family came into Ohio into Ross Co about the same time Col. Crawford came to Ohio before his death. My Berry family came by the way of Muskingum Co over into Fairfield Co Ohio causing confusion & bought a little over 80 acres of land in the early 1830 while still in Fairfield Co. this was Crawford Co Land .John and Susan Berry sold this land in 1841 the land was located in Crawford Co.on the Sandusky River almost where the Tymochtee Creek flows into the Sandusky River.I my great grandmother's obitstates that the young couple built and lived in a cabin near the sight where Col. Crawford was burned at the stake by the Indians.I wondered if the mention of this cabin and Col Crawford had a meaning for the people back when she died but dismissed it. Even though the Curtis Berry family lived all around my Berry. But, here again so did at least 2 other Beery & Berry families to muddy the water and creat more confusion .I hope someone out there that has their line back to Curtis Berry S. will see this and respond.Thankyou.
