My great grandmother, Sena/Lena Kessler, was married 3 times. I actually descend from her 2nd husband, Peter Stiffler. Her first and third husbands were both Berringers - 1st cousins. Her first husband was William Berringer b. 1855 son of your John Jr. and Jane McKissick. Her third husband was Alexander Berringer, son of David Berringer and Rebecca Bartlebaugh. David and John Jr. were brothers. I am interested in information on the McKissick line as they married into my Duncan line. Thomas McKissick married Betsy Duncan (sister of David Duncan listed below). I am interested in any information on Nicholas Beringer's ancestors. I have a possible spelling of Boerhinger and a possible brother named Henry. I am interested in John Jr.'s daughter Mary who married Jacob Garman. Jacob Garman bought the land that was owned by my ancestor, David Duncan and his brother, Moses. I am also interested in any information on John Berringer who first had the land granted or intended to be granted by Wm. Logan Fisher and his wife Sarah. This is the land that David and Moses Duncan purchased on 22 Nov 1838 from Wm. Logan Fisher of Philadelphia. According to census records, John Berringer lived nearby in Philadelphia at the same time as Wm. Logan Fisher. The same land was then divided and sold to Peter Stiffler, husband of Sophia Duncan (daughter of David Duncan) and to Jacob Garman (husband of Mary Beringer). Peter Stiffler's land is still in the Stiffler family. The Garman land sold a couple of years ago. I am also wondering what happened to Sena's first husband, William. They were only married for a year and never seemed to live together. Then, he disappeared. The lips are sealed in Green Twp, Indiana Co, PA. I would love to share the information that I have.
