Hi! You are right. Major John Berrien's son was John McPherson Berrien and moved to Savannah where he lived the rest of his life and was a lawyer, judge, US Sen., a you name he did it...... His brother James was my great great grandfather. Have you asked other family members? I will check through somethings I have and let you know what I find.
