I am descended from Jacques Bernier dit Jean de Paris who married Antoinette Grenier. I have the 300 year history of the family in the New World, written in French. My dilemma is this: I cannot connect my greatgrandfather, Raymond Bernier, to any of the bloodlines of Jacques' sons.

I think my greatgrandfather was the first in our family to come to America, and that he was born in Canada. He was living in Bellingham, Massachusetts at the time of his death, around 1950. My grandfather, Barthelemy, and his many siblings were all raised in and around Bellingham, MA, USA. Unfortunately, most of them are deceased or so old that they do not even know who I am. If you have any information, I'd be very grateful.
