Could your grand-father be Marcel-P. Bernier ?
In the marriages record for Montmagny, L'Islet and Bellechasse counties for the years 1656 to 1950 approximately (it includes Cap-Saint-Ignace), I can't find a Prosper Bernier married to an Éléonore Bernier, but I see the following (I don't know if it is what you are searching for) :

Marcel-P. Bernier married to Éléonore Bernier on 1846/10/27 at Cap-Saint-Ignace.

They got three child married in the said counties :

1) Nathalie Bernier married to Édouard Fortin
2) Alfred Bernier married to Émilie Bernier
3) Théophile Bernier married to Athala Gagné
